|NEW “VIP” SYSTEM ADDS EYE-CATCHING VERSATILITY
TO DIRECTOR’S CHOICE® CAFETERIA SERVING UNITS FROM EAGLE
Clayton, Del., September 3, 2008
Eagle Foodservice Equipment introduces the new VIP System for its Director’s Choice® modular cafeteria serving units. This ingenious new “visual-in-place” system offers foodservice operators a powerful new way to highlight their menu offerings, while also reducing the frustration of long wait lines by creating a scatter system with Eagle’s Director’s Choice ® cafeteria units, spreading customers across a larger serving area.
The VIP system, which is designed to work with all Director’s Choice® cafeteria units, consists of pylons, signage and lighting components – everything needed to turn a serving unit into its own “branded” station in one convenient package. It features a plug-in signage system that visually highlights the menu items being served. Whether it’s advertising a salad bar, pasta bar, other fare or just a menu board, the VIP System will attract customers with eye-catching graphics. Signage is configurable to nearly any shape or size. Signs can be produced in a variety of styles including backlit panels, neon or laminated millwork, based on design aesthetics or the degree of permanence desired.
A choice of low-voltage lighting or standard 120-volt lights is available in hundreds of styles, with all drop-lighting fully meeting NSF standards for mounting over hot or cold pan units. The durable construction of the VIP System features pylons constructed of square tubing, mild steel or stainless steel, along with welded mounting plates. Pylons attach to all Director’s Choice® cafeteria units via a docking device that allows for easy installation and removal. The pylons may be powder-coated or laminated to match the décor of the foodservice surroundings, if desired. The new Director’s Choice® VIP System from Eagle gives foodservice operators more options in the design and equipping of their cafeteria serving areas than ever before. Once the VIP System is installed, the entire cafeteria unit is portable, meaning that scatter layouts can be modified quickly and easily to accommodate different meal types or special events.
The VIP System is the latest enhancement to the Director’s Choice® line of cafeteria equipment manufactured by Eagle Foodservice Equipment. All Director’s Choice® units are engineered and built for durable, long-life performance. They feature type 304 stainless steel tubular construction with fully welded framing, along with 5” casters for mobility. Among the many types of equipment offered are hot food units, frost top units, solid-top utility carts, cold food, beverage and refrigerated milk units, as well as cashier stands. Eagle also offers special-purpose equipment in the Director’s Choice® line, including ice cream units, carving station units, tray/silver units and platforms, plus corner transition units.
Available in a variety of standard lengths ranging from 36” to 96”, Director’s Choice® cafeteria units can accommodate all industry standard-size heated or refrigerated drop-ins. A unique, built-in interlocking device allows for securely linking multiple units together to create whatever configuration best meets the needs of the cafeteria serving area including island displays. The VIP System can also fit on nearly all existing Director’s Choice® units, giving foodservice operators exciting new options for enhancing or upgrading their current cafeteria set-up.
